My husband and I moved to Little Rock, Arkansas about 4 years ago. We both grew up in Saline County and were ready to tackle an adventure together. It was not uncommon to find us enjoying the Little Rock night life on the weekends and weekend festivals. So, why not move?
Since then, we have had a little girl. This has forced us to find NEW things to enjoy as a family. I am going to share my top 5 favorite family things to do in Little Rock.
1. Fit4Mom Little Rock
Kenzie and I enjoy workouts with Fit4Mom Little Rock multiple times a week. The group meets at a local park to workout for an hour. This was a healthy choice for me to meet new mom friends and Kenzie to be around other babies.
2. Two Rivers Park
If you have been to Little Rock, you have probably visited Two Rivers Park. During the COVID shut down, Chris and I rented bikes and rode 20 miles. It was so much fun. Now, we take walks with Kenzie and enjoy the beautiful nature in Little Rock. You can find Two Rivers Park at 6900 Two Rivers Park Road, Little Rock, AR 72223.
3. Local Coffee Shops
As a business owner, I love to do my work at local coffee shops. There are SO MANY good ones! They are kid friendly and the menus are amazing. It is so important to support local businesses. I am listing the ones that I personally love below:
- Mugs in Heights & Argenta (515 Main St, North Little Rock, AR 72114, 5719 Kavanaugh Blvd, Little Rock, AR 72207)
- Guillermos on Rodney Parham (10700 N Rodney Parham Rd A2, Little Rock, AR 72212)
- SIPS (drive thru by the Chenal Promenade) (716 Rahling Rd Suite 101, Little Rock, AR 72223)
4. Little Rock Zoo
1 Zoo Drive
Little Rock, AR 72205
The Little Rock Zoo has done a fantastic job of including all family types. They offer adult only nights and events, as well as, kid friendly attractions during the daytime. Boo at the Zoo is coming up in October. It is a great event for the whole family.
5. Pinnacle Mountain
11901 Pinnacle Valley Road
Little Rock, AR 72223
In case you did not notice, we LOVE to be outdoors and explore our local parks. Arkansas is most definitely the most beautiful state in America. We have access to so many state parks that home beautiful wildlife. Chris and I love to climb Pinnacle Mountain and hope to take McKenzie on her first trip soon!
