A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

By Shelby Joiner October 19, 2021

Bobrook Farms is nestled just outside of Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The drive was absolutely beautiful on a Fall morning. We met up with some friends at 9:30. The Pumpkin Patch is open from 9-2 during the week.

Once we arrived, we drove past the winery and through the gates to the patch. There were cute decorations of scarecrows and witches running into posts. The parking was very convenient. It was a grass field and self guided parking. I recommend visiting during the morning time. It was absolutely beautiful. Fog over the lake and dew on the hay.

We started our day by traveling through the sunflower maze. They were HUGE! The stalks were taller than us and the flowers were bigger than our head. The kiddos loved to touch them, and we loved the photo opportunity. When we wondered out of the sunflowers, we introduced our babies to pumpkins. There were pumpkins of all sizes to look at and touch.

There were activities for kids of all ages. A huge slide down hay bales, a hay bale maze, and corn pit. These were a little big for our babies to enjoy this year. It was fun to watch the school trip kids enjoy them!

After a quick snack time and tractor ride, we raced ducks down the water hole and looked at the farm animals. There were chickens, goats, and pigs. To our delight, they had a pig race right before we left. The kiddos were elated to watch the squealing pigs jump over the sticks and race around the bins.

BoBrook Farms did not disappoint. We will definitely be back next year. They are open 7 days a week until October 31st. It would be a great pumpkin patch adventure for your family.
