The State of Arkansas is offering a sales tax holiday beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
The tax-free weekend will run through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, Arkansans can make tax-free purchases on certain items including electronics, school supplies, school art supplies, school instructional materials, and clothes.
Clothing items that cost less than $100 per item are exempt during the tax-free weekend, as well as clothing accessories that are less than $50 per item.
Most school supplies including backpacks, paper, crayons, binders, and rulers are also exempt.
The tax-free discount in Arkansas extends to certain electronic devices as well as select purchases that are made online during the weekend.
